http://eccollab.blogspot.com/

God, I am so excited about this one! 2 of my Philly Illustrator friends wanted to get in on the whole Exquisite Corpse Collab. So this one was started myself, then scanned and emailed to The Mighty Jusin Gray who then passed it onto The Wonderful Peter Wonsowski. It took a little while to make the rounds, but man I was so happy when I opened my email to this monsterpiece!

To the left of my desk.

All the images in the picture are my woks with the exception of the brown toned oil painting in the top left corner which is a gnarly piece by my friend/fantastic painter, Michael Ryan. Check his stuff out. http://www.michaelryanart.com/

My desk on Thanksgiving.

I promptly grabbed the lit candle in the background and tilted it to myself to light it thinking it was unlit, only to spill wax across my latest work. I think it adds a little something nice to the piece however.

Breakfast.

This is a painting entitled "Breakfast" I did a while back. The piece was done using the mixed media process I had developed in my college days. I met a very lovely couple from Ireland who were kind enough to purchase the piece from me. The woman told me that they were going to put the painting over their small two person table in their kitchen where they ate breakfast together everyday.

In progress...

This is my most recent personal in progress piece. It is from an old sketch I rediscovered and decided to turn into a finished piece digitally. It is temporarily on hold for another project right now, but it will be the first thing I get back into when I am done with my current work. You should see this thing full size.

Color This!

From the amazing mind of Illustrator/Fantastic Dude Justin Gray comes an adult themed coloring book as a part of his big upcoming show in Philadelphia. He was kind enough to ask me to do a couple of designs for it's pages. Please have a look, and if you like it, contact Mr. Gray and he just might be able to get one into your hands! Thanks for looking!

The Wind Blew Softly

January 2008 at the Hive Gallery

Part of a series (shown before framing) of mixed media bookmark sized pieces that I did for the wonderful folks at the Hive Gallery in Los Angeles, CA. http://www.thehivegallery.com/ They were kind enough to invite me to be the small wall artist that month. http://www.thehivegallery.com/news/news/Jan08.html

"My Son Will Show You The Way"

This piece was painted for a large group show at the San Jose Museum of Art entitled "We Are Family". http://www.sjmusart.org/content/exhibitions/past/exhibition_info.phtml?itemID=308

The inspiration for the piece came from a horror flick entitled "The Hills Have Eyes" that I accidentally watched one night. It contained a rather bizarre desert mutant rape scene in a mobile home. Romantic, I know.

It is acrylic on a 22"x28" stretched canvas. It was originally custom framed by my good buddy Nathan Segovia, a bay area creative type who was kind enough to put some energy into the project.
